Approach

My counselling orientation is rooted in client-centred, strengths-based, and developmental models. This foundation fosters a space where you are welcomed as you are, values your current qualities, and utilizes your natural capacity to adapt and evolve. At the core of my practice is a deep appreciation for your life journey and all of the moments that have brought you to this place. I believe that the wide array of life’s experiences, welcomed or unwelcomed, requires us to develop throughout our lives. I see it as my primary role to support you in your unique journey, acknowledging all that has contributed to you arriving here, and generating momentum in the direction you wish to go.

I believe it is your human right to be cared for with respect, and I aim to ground every aspect of our work in your life’s inherent value. I practice with a trauma-informed lens, which promotes your agency and autonomy in our relationship. Harnessing your wisdom, I hope to work with you to co-create adaptive ways of being. I encourage you to be your most authentic self and hold hope in your innate capacity to grow when provided with a nourishing and supportive environment.

Experience

My professional journey is wide-ranging, including work with crisis response teams, alternative education programs, older-adult populations, post-secondary institutions, high-performance sports teams, and youth empowerment programs.

Driven by curiosity about the human experience, I have completed an undergraduate degree in medical biochemistry and a master's degree in counselling. I engage in an ongoing practice of professional growth with special interest in the nervous system, interpersonal dynamics, and experiential therapies.

About Me

I was born and raised in Victoria, being one of four children in a household that was a community gathering space. Throughout my journey, community has remained a significant source of love and support. I value collective care and find great meaning in relationships and shared experiences. In support of my own wellness, I can often be found cooking, dancing, reading, adventuring, and engaging with my playful side.
